この賛美歌「Jesus Loves Me」(日本語: 主われを愛す)の歌詞は、もともとアナ・バートレット・ウォーナーの詩でした。 詩は1860年の小説（彼女の妹著）の一部として出版され、死にかけている子供を慰めるために用いられました。 詩は後にウィリアム・バチェルダー・ブラッドベリーによって曲とされました。
この歌詞は今生きる私たちにとっても真実です。
The lyrics of the hymn, "Jesus Loves Me," were originally a poem by Anna Bartlett Warner. The poem was published as a part of an 1860 novel (written by her sister) in which it was used to comfort a dying child. The poem was later put to music by William Batchelder Bradbury. The lyrics ring true today.
